Franz Soupmarine in Heidelberg

A good selection of very tasty soups and a great self-service concept to garnish the soups as you like and also an unlimited number of bread. The ambience fits into this concept very well. I would recommend everyone to walk the few meters to bring their dirty dishes back to the counter.

Nice and cosy little restaurant (divided in two parts). The soups are great and fresh. They offer a large range of free toppings (seeds, sprouts etc.) plus some bread.

Really a shame, we were drinking coffee in the very cute place today. You were allowed to clear the dishes from the previous guests yourself, the order in which the drinks were distributed was apparently dependent on the level of penetrance at the counter, the mouth and nose protection was probably voluntary and after the question whether the tables should be disinfected, I was given the following answer: "Yes, we should." Well, maybe you have an exemption and that also applies to the 30 cm distance between the tables. The coffee was delicious and we were happy to bring in the cups we used. Apparently, not only are the Corona requirements annoying, but also the customer.

Very tasty soups for the small hunger. This cuddly little soup bar has a great concept in my opinion. Various soups are prepared and kept warm for the day. The soups themselves taste very good and you can then garnish them yourself with all kinds of herbs and oils.

Soup is so comforting, and where better to eat soup than at @franzsoupmarine 😊 This was pumpkin soup (which is gonna go off the menu since it’s not in season anymore), sesame seeds and tahini 🥣 I secretly wished they had #sriracha sauce because it would go so well with it! They have a nice selection of soups, generous bread portions and there are also various sizes Also, they do take away 🙂

The place offers seasonal vegan soup options with free breads. Good place for brunch.

Atmosphere is superb here. Cozy, homely, and staff is excellent. The food is great, and tab water is served free of charge. Prices for the fruit juices are a bit hefty, but generally good quality for the price. The bread was a bit chewy for my taste, but I visited later in the evening, so I guess it wasn't quite fresh anymore.

Amazing soups are offered every day. They are very hearty and perfect for any season. A big bowl is just 5 euro(middle size) which is enough for keeping me full. Also if you eat plant based it is almost guaranteed that you can find something delicious and healthy to eat

Good idea, BUT .... Hygiene is an option (I got diarrhea after a soup!) And the ingredients are not clear.

The restaurant is truly aesthetically furnished. No cheap deco, instead it was a lot of color very nicely adapted to each other. The place has real potential to become my next favorite place. The things I ordered on the map are nicely prepared and are always warm. Very fast and nice service. I think all the local staff did a good job there.

A definite place to eat in HD. All soups are freshly made and vegetarian. Well priced and cool little location. And the Soups are absolutely delicious! My wife visits almoat every time she heada into town as the quality is so good!

The soups are great, every one tastes amazing, but they raised prices from 3 euros for a soup to 4.5 in about a year. I won't come here as often as I used to.

update: I feel the quality has gone down a bit since last year - the soups have become more watery and less tasty and flavorful, the service is more stressed and hurries you along. They also just increased the price of the small soup to 4.50€ so it's definitely in the mid range price section now. ____________ THE place in Heidelberg to go for tasty and cheap soup options. You can season it yourself with herbs and seeds. Huge plus. I did wish they offered a non white bread option - I'd be willing to pay extra.

Hidden gem on side street. No nonsense tasty soups and raw juices at reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

Excellent soups at a reasonable price! The changing offer ranges from unusual soups such as Bulgur spinach and yoghurt soup to classics such as lentil and tomato soup. If you like, you can refine it yourself with chives, coriander leaves, hot chili sauce or lemon juice. Flat bread is available at no extra charge! Great concept!

Almost only one place in HD that doesn't offer mostly unhealthy options. Always nice staff and decent selection of delicious soups. Very welcoming informal atmosphere. Great place for an informal quick bite.

Very good selection of soups. All of them are only lightly salted and you can also season them if necessary. The prices are unbeatable for Heidelberg (3.50 a serving), but there is not much space in the soup kitchen itself, making a seat a rare commodity.

Very good vegetarian and vegan soups + bread for a very good price in a super cozy place.

You get a selection of 6 veg soup variations with a variety of fresh greens and seeds to top it off. All of that goodness for a very good price. The tomato soup is better here than in Italian restaurants in the city. But not as good as in Rome :-D
